The store had just received plenty of new puppies, and the clerk was quite surprised that so far, no one but a teen-aged boy had been in to see them all. However, as far as she knew, no one really knew about the new pups, as Tom hadn't put up any bulletins, since he only put things up when his items and canines went on sale. The woman that leaned on the counter shifted softly on her feet, kicking her new, shiny, black shoes against the old flooring beneath them, mostly out of boredom, but also a bit of hatred toward the things. As if to immediately pull her mind off the putrid shoes, the bells of the door jingled and she allowed her head to raise softly, and while the blond hair would have normally fallen forward into her face, she had chosen to pull it into a high pony-tail today and put a headband on to keep the loose hair's back, just leaving her bangs out so that they could rest to the right side of her face.
A warm smile crossed her face and her green eyes seemed to light up, but she didn't move until she noticed the costumer take a turn down toward the dog kennels. Shoving back on the counter so that she was now standing full and tall, the young woman swaggered toward the puppy cages, her head high and the same smile on her face as she was always pleased to sell puppies. As the other girl came into sight, she sighed happily, noticing how she stuck her fingers in toward the Miniature Aussie. No one had quite seemed to take a liking to that dog so far, perhaps because it was about as big as a chihuahua, in fact, smaller since it was still so young. The other woman didn't seem to avert her gaze for a few moments when it suddenly came up and she seemed to be looking for a worker. That was where the clerk came in.
"She's about as small as they come." The clerk laughed softly as she inched toward the wire cage that held the puppy inside, more than enough room for her to happily run around. "Would you like to take a better look at her?" The clerk turned to face the other girl once more, her eyes just as bright as ever as she allowed her fingers to hold a spot on the wire gate so as the puppy could lick them, like most of the pups here did. And as if the puppy knew that she hopefully to be pulled out, she swung around and waved her tail swiftly behind her - well the best she could being as it was docked like most Aussie's - waiting happily someone to pull her out to stroke and play with her, just the way all the dogs did when they were sure they were to be taken 'home'.
