The sun was high in the sky by now, showing that it was high noon, give or take a few minutes. The breeze was... relaxing actually, as it didn't seem to be one of just pure hot air, but actually kind of cool. However, the breeze wasn't really heavy enough to actually be all that wonderful to be stained in... yet it was better than the air by itself. As said before it was about high noon and the heat was really just setting in for the summer day, meaning that it was only to get hotter and hotter... until about five tonight when it would finally cool down again. The boy stopped as he came before Tom's Pet Store, wiping his sleeve over his forehead as he hoped to rid his face of most of the sweat from the walk here. Really, he didn't mind walking, but having not really been thinking about it, the boy had managed to leave just before it began to get hot, which meant that after he stopped here, it would be a really hot walk back. And not to mention, it wasn't just heat outside, it was also humid. That meant that you sweat more and it was even grosser, making you want to just go to a pool or something.
Anyways, the teen once again wiped his forehead with his shirt sleeve and then took off the top shirt that he wore, revealing a white t-shirt under it. He ran his hand through his dark brown hair, then shook his head softly. Really, his hair wasn't that long, he not having chosen to grow it out yet, but you could tell that his hair cut had been a while back, perhaps done a month or so before today. Still, he did his best to make himself look as good as he could before going inside. Today was important to him, he was planning on getting a dog... especially since no one really seemed to talk to him around town... not since he had moved out with his parents and practically dropped out of high school, anyways. He still took some classes during the day, usually earlier in the morning, but he had been smart enough school wise to get enough credits to graduate before, mostly from taking extra classes and things of that sort.
He shook his head once more, then ran his finger over his head to fix his hair back into place - as if it really had one. Shaking his shirt out, he walked inside the building, stopping and raising his arms out both sides of his body as the cold air blew against him, making him thank the Lord above for air conditioning. Taking a few more steps inside, the door slid behind him as he allowed his bright, blue eyes to glance around and choose their destination, the aisle with the cages. He knew that you would normally have to go to the check out with all your stuff, but he wasn't really planning on all that stuff, but instead he just wanted a puppy. He could get the food now too, but he doubted that he would have enough money to truly buy all the things that he wanted for that pup.
However, his job had also just started, meaning that pay day would be shortly coming and he would soon have a bit more money to pay for the puppy and eventually he would earn enough to get a bigger house with a backyard too. Still that was all out of his mind, everything besides finding the right pup was. Heading toward the aisle with the puppies, he managed to slip back into his shirt without catching any attention of anyone he might have overlooked, as he hadn't really checked for other people that might have been in the store, only for the row with the kennels. Slowly, he moved toward the first cage that came to his vision, but wasn't sure if he could just peek in, perhaps pull out pups to play with... or see which one he wanted. So, as he peered toward the many dogs, he waited for a worker to come to him... and perhaps ask him what he was looking for...
